Architectural Features
Gable Ends: Defined Forms, Resolved Edges
Gable ends provide a resolved architectural termination to roof structures, allowing architects to control enclosure, proportion, and weather performance at the roof perimeter. Rather than leaving ends open, gable ends introduce clarity to the overall form and enhance the perceived permanence of the structure.
The detailing is kept deliberately restrained, ensuring the gable reads as an extension of the roof line rather than an applied feature. They can be specified to align with roof pitch, adjacent architecture, or site conditions. Motorised or fixed louvres can also be used to control the solar gain through these spaces.
Chimney Cowl: Functional Protection
Traditionally, cowls are used to prevent rain ingress, improve draw, and reduce downdrafts caused by wind. Louvres, slats or simple framing can change a chimney flue to a design element. These lightweight screens conceal the flue and allow it to sit comfortably within the wider architectural language of the building.
Window Shroud: Crisp Definition
Window shrouds are designed to provide a clean, architectural termination around window and door openings. By introducing a defined aluminium frame at the window perimeter, a crisp shadow line is created linking adjacent architectural elements.
Manufactured from aluminium, the framed window edge system offers long term durability and dimensional stability, making it suitable for coastal, urban, and exposed residential environments.
Window Privacy Screens
Aluminium batten window screens are designed to protect or partially conceal window openings while still allowing light and ventilation. Using a disciplined batten rhythm, the system allows management of privacy, shading, and visual permeability.
